“Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see farther.” (Thomas Carlyle) I paint for the journey. Each stroke leads to the next, and in turn, each image and painting give birth to the next. If you have ever locked yourself in a room for an entire night and given yourself completely to the spirit behind the canvas, you’ll know what I am talking about. Two years of formal art training followed by two more years of immersing myself in Art History courses led me to realize that I still can’t find the right words to describe my art.
